Relaxed & Ready.

Greetings Ladies and Gents,

Welcome to a new addition of the suits collection, and yes it has been long overdue. I've obviously been spending a bulk of recent posts time on relationship conversations and opinions. But I felt that it was time to get back to my roots, at least for the time being. When I started this blog of mine, I would send out pieces left and right displaying my different suit combos and accessories. However, as time went by, I began giving other topics more attention in order to expand what was being provided on my page. With that being said, I'm trying to find a better balance between my posts being released and I believe I'm on the right track. So let's look at today's suit.

What you're bound to run into during the summertime is a significant amount of hot and humid days, at least where I'm from. Having that be your reality makes you have to reconsider if you're actually going to walk out the door in a full on suit. But some events are going to require you to dress up more than others, and you have to be prepared for such situations. I had to deal with that very dilemma recently, but thankfully I was able to handle it.

I decided to go with a lighter suit color, grey specifically, because I knew that the sun would be beaming and having a dark suit on was not going to help my cause in the comfort department. Along with that, the no tie look was at the top of my to do list. It may seem like common sense, but the more buttoned up and constricted you are, the quicker you're going to feel like you're overheating and simply miserable. So as much as I love a quality tie, that just wasn't going to happen on this day.

I went with a nice purple shade for my dress shirt that blended quite well with the light grey jacket and pants. For my handkerchief, I decided to stay with the casual theme even more and break out the camo design. It was my way of feeling like I was being dressy yet chill at the same time, and those are personally my favorite outfits to put together. For the shoes, I went with a light black shoe, because you don't wanna feel even heavier when heat is already involved in the mix.

Although I was still sweating like nobody's business out there, I think I still may have saved my life by simply dressing smart and not overdoing it. Plus this can be a look that is versatile, meaning you can wear it to church and then go somewhere relatively casual afterward without feeling too overdressed. That saves you time having to go home and pick out something completely different to wear. I hope this piece was helpful in the way you navigate your summer suit looks. Be blessed!
